I have a similar question: I have a purple tang in a 125 w/ 130lbs LR and would like to add a powder blue tang. The purple has been in the tank only about 2 months and I am curious to hear responses to your post.

I have a 125 gal tank also. I have 3 CPR BackPacks and 2 Fluval 404s --I should point out that I also have app 130lbs of live rock. My tank has been set up for about 2 months and so far all is going well. I really like the BackPacks but have some issues with the Fluvals. Good luck --jd

I posted a question about my Fluval 404 as well. Mine sucks air and discharges micro-bubbles and I have been unable to resolve it. I will not buy another Fluval.

I've had good luck with CPR back packs - no problems and they seem to pull a lot of nasty stuff out the water --jd

I have two new Fluval 404s that I am wrestling with -- no matter what I do they suck air into the system and then blow out micro-bubbles ----I will not buy another Fluval for this reason. good luck - jd

I came across a 3rd Back Pack on sale, so I am adding a 3rd skimmer. I will give it some more time and see.

Do mantis shrimp usually show up on a particular "type" of live rock? (EG - Is Fiji rock more/less likely than Gulf rock to have mantis on board?, etc)
