    Fishless Cycle Stalled?

No wonder! So, Did six water changes, goldfish is pretty stressed. He accidently got sucked into the syphon. Seems to be ok, but a little tramatized. Test again, and ammonia still at .25. So I decided to test my tap again. Ammonia of my tap, .25! It was zero a couple of weeks ago...

    Fishless Cycle Stalled?

Today I've done four water changes. Is this ok for the fish? I'm in the nitrite peak of my cycle. Just worried it is beginning to get too stressful for them. Gonna add that filter tonight.

Should I add another filter? I have another double HOB. Just wondering if that would help by adding more area for bacteria to live.

    Fishless Cycle Stalled?

Stats So I picked up the Oranda and three weather loaches yesterday afternoon. Did two water changes before I put them in. Let the tank run and then tested levels. Put them in bags of their own tank water and let them acclimate for 15 minutes. Then added my tank water every five minutes. Caught...

    Fishless Cycle Stalled?

Loaches are also coldwater fish. I've been doing some research on them. They seem to be tank cleaners. They are called weather loaches because they are sensitive to barometric pressure. So before a storm they go crazy! They can survive out of water too, kinda like mud fish. Pretty neat!

Thanks for the support! Should I go ahead and do water changes and start getting my temp down? I pick them up on Sunday.

    Goldfish rescue

I am starting a 55 gallon goldfish aquarium. It has been in a fishless cycle since Jan 9th. I'm right in the middle of it with all levels showing (ammonia, nitrite and nitrate). I have agreed to take in a unwanted Oranda (Med) goldfish and four weather loaches. The current owner is downsizing...

    Fishless Cycle Stalled?

Question, a member on here who you have talked to is urgently trying to find a new home for her two fish. One is a comet the other a fantail. Can I rescue these fish and continue my cycle. I was thinking since they are doing so poorly in a 10gallon and already have suffered ammonia burn that...
