One just like I did on my big one with the same level of detail including cutouts for filters inlets and outlets, heaters etc, caves to move water around from side to side and front to back , large face, detailed mockup for aproval, supplies etc would probably run about $300ish.

Well I run rather a low amount of light per day, lots of filtration and not to many fish. And yes the stupid fish are hiding. They hide most of the time. I am tempted to trade them for some fish that are more friendly.

Really you should try the foam. All you need to do is plan it out in 3d make it first in clay etc but to a smaller scale and then just transfer it to the foam. Just do rocks and or bricks first and you cant go wrong. The best looking rocks I had were some of the scrap pieces I had left over in...

Not much problem with with anything yet. Foam is not bad as long as you plan it out in advance.

My background in all 2d art also. But really in many ways I find the 3D easer.

Yes I sculpted all of it. You can make it as thick or thin as you like.

Up till now I have used single bulb low watt 32 inch light in the middle. I just changed to the Compact Floresent High Out Put 96W 6700K. Only growth is some ugly brown stuff but not to much .

I I did was stick the base of them into cracks etc. Seems they dont float much.

Oh and after I got all of the plants in I am missing one of my 8 Silver Dollars. So if he does not show back up I am going to have to pull them all out and see if I trapped him or if he just died. He was the one that got picked on all the time that did not look to good anyway. Always something:)

Well I was thinking more of dead bamboo kinda like using driftwood. and use a lot of small sticks from the bottom of the tank to the top like you are the middle of a bamboo forest.
