When did you add the sand? Is that the reason for the cloudiness or no?

If you filter the water you are fine. When I make my fish room I will use this method and just filter out the impurities.

Yah this stuff didn't, but I just water tested it and then tried to rub it off, it came right off the glass. Whenever I have time, ill just go and get some silicone and redo it. Resealing takes forever!

You could also put a plate on the bottom and pour out the water from the bucket onto the sumerged plate

I would recommend getting the Aquon water changer. It is cheaper and better quality.

I would agree, you can't use just RO strickly. You need to add minerals back into your water or your fish will be worse off. The ammonia in the tank isn't bad and the BB will in fact consume it.

Yah....it is pretty bad but I have the Aqueon Water Changer and my LFS has a shipment this Thursday so they should have what I need. It is a pain but when you love the hobby you do what you need to do.
