So i have been looking into getting a ray for a freshwater tank. I have seen a few videos on youtube as well as have seen things on other forums about getting them. I will be getting a 75 gallon in a month or so, so i was hoping to get a little advice on how to get one and weather a 75 gallon...

WOW Your ray is B-E-A-UTIFUL! I have wanted a ray forever and i just always thought my tank was just too small for one ... so what size is your tank? It looks kinda small.

Update So ive looked into putting sand in my aquariums and it seems like there are alot of benifits to sand rather than gravel. something about how there is always alge growing on the rocks and it is benifitial for the ph to have sand. But now i just need to figure out how to clean sand... is...

response See thats what i thought. I figured that sand would be good especially like a white sand to make colors pop. But im just worried that because i have no experience with sand that alot can go wrong.

Yea the barbs are some of my favorite fish, i am hoping to maybe get an 80 gallon bow front tank one of these days ... only time will tell

Response Cycling your water is very important but you have to be carefull when cycling water often with fish in the tank. The fish can get stressed out which can cause a variety of other problems.. just something to think about =]

Response I would go with a few tiger barbs, I just set up a friends tank for him and we put about 5 of them in the tank. They are territorial but not neccesarily towards each other, they seem to school together and as long as you keep the tank clean you shouldnt have any problems. Not to...
