Thx everyone :) I just want to feel that I am a good fish keeper and at the moment I don't :( what appropriate fish can I stock in a 35l?

5 years ago I bought a 30l litre tank and had a comet and shubunkin they lived for 4 years....in 2011 I upgraded to a 35l tank....and I have no end of trouble with fish....so a small tank looks like a better solution

Not much hope I don't think... Started SB treatment this am... Starting to think why me? Can't keep fish longer than few months :( I just want a fish that lasts for years... How often I clean out the tank they still are dying :( maybe I need to go back to a smaller tank

Hi Jen I always use the api test liquid kit... Would the high ph be a factor in fish hanging at top? Just checked it and it's a dark blue colour

There is no other signs... What temperature should it be? I'm not taken temperatures before as I have cold water tank.

I have noticed my fancy is always hanging at the topof the tank gasping! Why do they do this? I have 2 filters going so really plenty of aeration in there!

Hiya My tank is 35l and it's been established since jan 2011. My nitrates and nitrites are 0 ... I have been doing weekly water changes for a while now.

I have 35l tank with one other fantail in the tank. I also have 2 filters running a marina slim 15 and an internal filter that goes in the water.

My LPS always say if nitrites are high fast fish for about week and add stress zyme each day till levels are back to normal

My fantail fish are doing fine, water is fine too. I would like to offer them a variety of different food to them can anyone suggest foods ok for fantails? at the moment they have pellets and daphnia. I have some frozen food as well but not sure if they are allowed this?

hi jlk my levels are fine now thx... I decided to put an extra filter in the tank and it seems to be ok now ph 7.2 ammonia 0 nitrate 0 nitrite 0 the swim bladder treatment I am using is from n labs they advised me to wait 5 days and then do a water change.

I am having same the trouble with my shubunkin, don't hold much time for him :(

shubunkin is not well at all few days ago he started to show swim bladder symptoms such as flip over and he is still laying on bottom. I started nlabs swim bladder treatment 2 days ago but still no imorovement :(.... he seems to be breathing fast... I am thinking should I start a new treatment...
