thanks! the red plant is rotala wallichii. i'll put up more photos when the plants decide to grow some more and i get something for the back right corner to cover the heater. im also thinking of getting rid of the sword and putting something in front of the wallichii... a mid ground plant, but...

update kinda. lol its a whole tank shot now. added japonica, wallichi.. and another anubias. cant remember what else. even this camera is a little dodgy but when i get a good il'l upload more :)

thanks :) ..haha yeah it wasnt rotala when i bought it but that in the 5th pic is actually the same plant as in the second.. about 3 weeks later. lol. the tank is 40 gallons.. i cant get a decent shot of it until i get a camera but i got more plants and fish now so im hoping to soon :D

i have a bristlenose in my 40gal.. it's ony like 2 inch's right now and it took three days before the tank was sparkling. cleaned the heater, glass, anubias.. haha GET ONE =)

i've got an old tank, 60 litres that i was thinking of turning into a sump for a 40gallon tank. would fiberglass be reef safe to use as baffles?? thx in advance :)

wellthe female is always flaring up and spends most of the time in her little cave, or swimming around the tank.. she doesnt really bother him except every now and then she decides to chase him (mostly at feeding time coz he actually moves) do you think it's possible that they would spawn? i...

thanks gheitman... is it normal that the male is hiding in the top corner and the female is chasing him around? .. i dont think she's harming him

The fish pictured is acting kinda strange and hiding in the corner... but if the colour of it's belly means it's willing to spawn, and the other fish in the tank does have a rounder and more red stomach, would this mean the other is a male? is it usually the female that needs to attract...

clown loaches will probably outgrow your tank... but take a look at the compatability chart, as a general rule.... you should have about 1 inch of full grown fish per gallon

IMO Bettas have lotsa personality and would be a good choice for you .. remember not to keep more than one male in the same tank and keep a lid on your tank, especially if its a young one.. mine only jump at feeding time but i know theyre capable
