What did you use as filter media? I was thinking sponges and scrubber pads. Also if I take a skimmer and feed it direct to the bottom of the filter, will the water just back up through the skimmer?

Well I think I've decided on my build materials, I was going to use breeze blocks then clad it with timber but I think I'll just go timber!

So is the timber just screwed through the top down to the next 1? Are the corners reinforced with anything? I was thinking about a steel angle for strength but worried it would rip my liner. Also, is it anchored to the ground? I don't have any pond plants, this will be my first pond build.

I like your pond, do you have any idea on how it was constructed?

So I've measured the area, done my sums. I'll have approximately 660uk gallons (793 us gallons). The plan is to move my 2 koi outside. I was wondering if it is possible to put any more koi in there, taking into account their potential size when grown.

Basically, I want a nice tank with some brightly coloured fish and some live plants. I was thinking cichlids as I saw a beautiful Oscar, I think a tiger Oscar and loved it. However I'm open to suggestions.
