Just a quick question along the same lines. Is coraline algea that hard stuff that grows on the glass if you look close it looks like a little swirl?

I am battling with hair algea its brown to redish brown in color. Its all over the substrate and it seems to have bubbles trapped under it. I have switched from using tap water to buying purified spring water for top off. I have 2 Blue leg hermits and 1 Turbo snail. What causes those bubbles...

As a matter of fact I do use tap water to refill the tank but I put dechlorinator in it and let it sit for a day.

I got a serious problem with angel hair algea. Its all over the substrate and its starting to trap bubbles. Will a sand sifting star fix this.

This is strange. That is the 6th nano cube that i have seen crack because it wasnt level. They were all on a stand designed for the nano cube. And it seems to happen in the same place on all of them on the long bends of the front corners.

This morning I turned on the lights and one of my two clownfish was missing I searched the tank moving rocks and looking behind the PH and nothing. Could my Carpet Anemone have eaten him. I have no other fish in the tank and a whole fish dont just disappear. Is it possible?

Can you feed an anemone a small scallop? Its a meaty piece of meat and is conveniently 1/2" in diameter.

I dont know. I have some False Perculas. I know if they are small and grow up together they will get along. But if you try and put adults in together they will have territorial disputes.

I have acces to some Texas holy rock, me living in texas its a mere 20 minute drive and i can pick it up off the ground. Its a white colored rock and is full of holes of different sizes and shapes. I know people put some in their Cichlid tanks but can you add these rocks to a SW aquarium...

I agree that Nitrate level is a killer I suggest getting an inexpensive fish to help cycle the tank like a damsel or something. paying like 15 bucks a throw for clowns is alot. Doing 10% water changes every other day will help bring it down. Good luck.

What is the 10,000k good for? What is the Actinic good for? How should I set the timers for each of these? How long should each one be on?

I dont even run a heater on my tank. I had 2 powerheads in there and it got to 85* I removed one and now its right at 81*. The PH's heat the water so well that here in south Texas you dont need a heater.
