I've had this brown stuff on the bottom of my tank for a while. When I do a water change it gets sucked up but comes back pretty quickly. I have 0 nitrates when I test and I only feed once a day and within 10 minutes its all eaten. Whats up?

I have this hair algae on one piece of live rock in my tank. I have taken a water sample to the lfs for testing. They said everything is fine and that i should remove the rock and place it in near boiling water and then scrub it with a tooth brush to get everything off. Has anyone heard of this?
