I have emerald corys and pepper corys. They don't school together much but it's fun. I LOVE panda corys. Their my favorite but I can't find them around here :(

It is a lot of water lol! I am diligent on water changes. I do 50-70% every week. Even if low nitrates. And I have 2 types of floating plants, frogbit and water lettuce... :)

My rainbowfish has been like this for a couple days now and I just don't know what's wrong with him. My parameters are excellent, (trates appx 30), WC due tomorrow. Not overstocked, no aggression whatsoever. 90 gallon with 2 AC 110's. Any ideas? Only thing that's changed is adding live plants...

Today I noticed one of my rainbowfish swimming funny. Like he's having a real hard time and breathing kinda heavy? He's not moving his tail a whole lot and his back end hangs down so he's swimming like he's swimming upwards at an angle... Hope I'm making sense. Anybody knows what might be...

I agree to shy away from tiger barbs. I'm a fan of neons (small and colorful!) so I'd go with a school of those and harlequins with an angel and maybe a type of ram and cories!

It's a 90 gallon 24" tall, 48" led.

So I now have a planted tank. Low light plants. I have the aqueon led light with a daylight strip and a colormax (red) strip. I have room for one more strip and was curious if anybody knows which I should get... Daylight Colormax (red) Colormax (blue) Which would my plants benefit from the most?

I have 9 eastern Australian rainbows and a large school of harlequins with my angel. They all do great together. The angel must think its a rainbowfish sometimes the way she swims with them lol.

I was thinking neons too... For a 30 gal maybe like 20 neons and some shrimp would be lightly stocked, nice and easy maintenance!

I agree that all tanks should have weekly WC. On a 30 gallon tank, just do it same day you do the cichlids and it'd only be about 15 more minutes to change out 10-15 gallons :) However, if you lightly stock your tank (prob around 50%) with low bioload fish and excellent filtration, you could...

Yeah they stay small(er)... Mine are almost 4 years old and top out about 6" long. In the wild, guess they can get up to 11" but not in aquariums! Their one of the prettiest, sleekest catfish IMO!
