i want to know what will i need and what is the best size tank and fish to start wi

Agree bigger is going to be easier to maintain but I always think you should check out what kind of fish you really want to keep, then that will tell you what isle tank and equipment you'll need. Also, do you want fish only or reef? That will tell you what kind of lighting you need and...

New Salt Tank, 75 gal, schedule of events

Ideally you'd want to add all the rock you plan on having (live Rock or dry or a mix) sand (if you're having sand) in the tank before you start the cycle. Could take about a month to cycle, then add fish slowly, one at a time with a few weeks in between... Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium...

I just figure the only tank mates for these guys are larger fish (ones they won't fit in their mouths) and a 55g is not big enough for groupers/triggers... Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

$75.00 55 gallon Saltwater Aquarium Full Setup.

It also looks like there are bubblers in there? I would recommend taking that out - it will cause you a whole bunch of pain (with salt creep getting on everything) I am not familiar with that light but best to check it before adding any light-demanding corals or anemones. I would wait on an...

    Stock suggestions

The foxface is a good idea for a centrepiece fish. Just makes sure you are cycling the tank properly before adding any livestock ;) Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Reef safe puffers

Yup, I had a bennetts puffer in my 55g he would randomly leave some corals alone but not others. Ate all my inverts tho... No reef safe guarantee Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Puffer question

I'd say you are fully stocked with that puffer, they get big fast and are messy! Liveaquaria recommends 180g for those guys - as mentioned above I hope you have a future home for it when it grows... Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Want to start saltwater tank.

You would definitely need a 20g for a pair of clowns, FYI you'll need intense lighting (read:expensive!) to house any anemone. They can be much more difficult to care for than most corals. It's hard to put a figure on the cost of set up. My 10g was about $350 (australian dollars) just to give...

    Lighting to support an anemone

What are the dimensions of the tank? When looking at LED make sure each diode is 3w, there are so many lights out there that are called reef lights but are no where near bright enough. If you give us the dimensions we can suggest brands for you. Is it 30litres? If so, that will be difficult to...

What is the most quiet wave maker / power head ?

I do find that the cheaper ones are louder. I use tunze powerheads and they are much quieter than the cheap ones I use for mixing water ;) Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Feeding sparingly

I think it depends on how much you feed (volume) I used to feed every three days a mixed diet. Now I feed daily but it's still the same amount of food weekly. Does that make sense? So just much smaller amounts each day... Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

How to transform FW to SW

    Which light should I choose

I also wouldn't recommend putting an anemone in a 5g - they get very large. Small tanks are mug more difficult keeping parameters stable too. In any case they are not for beginners ;) Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Wattage per gallon! :)

I have the 54w par38 on my 10g but it's a tall tank. Some might say it's too much (my fixture is not dimmable which makes acclimation harder) but I love it! Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice
