I have 2 marineland penguin 350 and I love them. They work phenomenal and you can get them for a good price on amazon and the filter cartridges too.

Looks good. I would add a 2x4 to each corner between your top and bottom frame where your 2x4's gap each other. That will add more than enough support.

They are beautiful fish but dont they require higher water temperatures?

I have a female opaline gourami and she is as peaceful as can be with my other fish....mollys...corys...and danios. Hope that helps

Both great ideas and I love tetras too but when I use aqadviser it does not recommend mixing tetras with my opaline gourami. Has anyone here done so before without the gourami being aggressive. Mine is female and she is not aggressive to any of my current fish

Hello all I started a 40g breeder for my 5 year old and he loves it and all is good in the tank. I made the stand myself and scored on the tank as I paid $40 for it from petco on their dollar a gallon sale. I am running a marineland penguin 350 in it. We currently have stocked....... 1 opaline...

Has anyone on here ever ordered from this company before? I built my stand and now I need a tank and this place seems very reasonable. Was going to go with a glass reef ready tank from lfs but I don't like the fact that the holes are drilled on the bottom. So figure I go acrylic anf drill them...

So I finished the cabinet doors yesterday. Here is what it looks like now. Still need to adjust the trim and touch up with stain here and there.

Yeah you are right. Where the tank is going is in my basement on a floating floor with concrete under it so you know there will be level issues there. Im just waiting for tank to be put on and filled before I try to level it that way I dont have to level it twice.

Ty. I just wanted to add the foam board as one corner of the tank top is a little off level a bit and I figured it would fix any imperfections on the stand top overall. I will probably end up moving the trim up.

Ty very much I had already added trim to the top and made it flush. I can take it down but its just kind of a shame to. I might end up doing so I just havnt made up my mind.
