using furan...dosed yesterday and one more time today. so far no change, fish still looks bloated and pale. it's a honey gourami... using Hawaiian salt to treat. it was a 5 gallon tank. other 2 gouramis look healthy so far.

if one fish has dropsy, i took him out of the tank as soon as I noticed it, should I worry that the other fish will also get it? treating with salt and antibiotics. anything else I should do? thanks.

I have 3 honey gouramis and they get along fine together. they hover so they're fun to watch. Good luck

yes, gravel cleaners are amazing. only clean my tank once a week and i'm amazed at the junk that it is removed from the water. I probably should do gravel cleaning twice a week to cut down on the junk build up.

i put in 4 endler guppies hoping there would not be any conficts. i'm so glad my betta doesn't mind them at all. they've been together for 6 months and everyone is doing fine.

what a beautiful betta! he's so lucky to have a large home all to himself. my betta doesn't really care about the endlers and the cories. he doesn't bother with them at all. sorry you had to shell out so much. :(

hi i asked a question like this awhile ago about saving money by hatching them at home, rather than buying brine shrimp weekly from lfs. haven't tried hatching them yet, but i think you can feed them crushed flakes. see if they'll accept it.

very new to this so i do appreciate the advice. for water changes, after adding stresscoat+ to a bucket of water, how long do i need to wait before i can add this water to the tank? once it becomes room temperature (several hours) or is it better to wait overnight for water to cure. thanks.

i go to the lfs to buy live brine shrimp every sunday for my 2 bettas, 3 honey gouramis and 3 glofish. very expensive but my fish don't like to eat the frozen stuff. at the end of the week, all the brine shrimp are dead at the bottom of the bag and my fish don't like eating the dead ones...
