Exactly how lowlight are marimo mossballs? I have a 1.5 gallon betta set up and I think some moss balls would be beneficial, but it only has some cheap stock LEDs in it. Wondering if maybe they'd survive and grow?

I'm wanting to put together a 2.5 pico reef, but lighting is proving to be the hardest part to plan. Anyone have experience making DIY reef lighting? Never done it, so any insight, advice, or information would be great! Thank you in advance!

Picky is a good thing. :) they get relatively big when they're grown. It'll be years, but he's capable of outgrowing the 12 gallon, too IMO.

That's interesting! I like it!! I wonder how well it photographs under actinic lighting. That's one of my main problems taking them with my phone.

In my experience, the neons are extremely sensitive. They might just be dying.
