I've had this coral about three weeks in my tank and other areas where brown slime has cleared up but this won't seem to. And another spot hasn't cleared up either. It varies from brown to black and a polyp has never come out of either spot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You're thinking stomatella snail, or however it's spelled. Google the pics of vermatid snails, you'll see they are the same.

The dog doo swirl looking this are vermatid snails. They don't move, and shoot out a slime and reel it back in to feed. I have them in my tank too.

I've been told it's both.; however I want to know which, so I can care for it correctly and cuz I think one can be bad for other corals. Since I've gotten it with a piece of live rock, the coral has grown about a centimeter all around. Can anyone definitively identify this guy?

I tried to save it after but I don't think it fared well. But at least it's out of the DT. It took a long time and many pours of soda to get it out. :(.

I'm sure he's a shrimp. He keeps moving In and out oh the hole in the coral.
