I was looking at my 20 gallon tank and saw that my blue ram has spots all over his fins. He also rubs against the decor in the tank. Neither my 2 black khuli nor my leopard cories are going through this and I already did a 25% water change this week. Does anyone know whats going on :(

They are also called black khuli loaches or chocolate khuli loaches. They look like someone glued a catfish head to a small eel. They are actually quite interesting

When they are there they are injected with color enhancing hormones with adverse effects. Most from a breeder live longer

It had cycled a while back before I got them, and im hoping that they arent ones imported either. The ones that are imported are often given color enhacing hormones which have bad effects on them.

i did some looking around and learned that what were sold to me as Bolivians are actually young GBRs. i don't know if this'll change much in ways of tank mates, but i have already decided against a gourami for now

so far the only thing that they harass is my betta in the other tank

Basically just something to stir up sand and clean it a little. And a snail seems the best bet right now. also, algae refuses to grow in my tank

Could their possibly be a shimp alternative or another non-asexual invert? I also dont care for snails. Just seemed like the best bet

Well I plan on getting more non java loaches beforehand so that they can eat some of the babies to slow down the population growth

I have two java loaches and two german blue rams. I plan on slowly changing the substrate to sand and was planning on getting a Malaysian trumpet snail. Will any of my current fish try to consume it?

To be more specific, im looking for a top swimmer that has about the same upkeep as my loaches and rams. I dont want a schooling fish though, as I can only add so much at once in such a young tank

Well I do want a top swimmer, and no I don't believe the rams are a pair. But I had only gotten them a few weeks ago.

I have a 20 gallon tank with two java loaches and two Bolivian rams. I want to get a new fish once the tank cycles and want to research the fish first. Are there any suggested tank mates?
