This morning I found the feathers of me feather duster floating around, should I take it out? Is this some sort of shedding and new ones will grow?....also I havent seen my goby or fire fish in about 24 is this common for a 55 g tank?

I have a few old silver ions, not old or rare enough to worth much than face value, but I still think they r pretty cool, if I rinsed them well could I put them in my tank? Would they affect the params? Thaks

Worried about the back glass of the tank I see a lot of hydroids and learn that its ok to have that but I see a lot of brown spots that are hard to the touch and dint come off as easy as the diatoms dud when they appeared during the cycle 55 gal. About a month or more of cycle...2 damsels 3...

Params were good, got a small issue wit salt that will be taken care of shortly... What kind of fish & corals should I look into getting first, don't think that I should get anything to expensive cause is still need to get the hang of what to do going forward...any thoughts for a started crew...

Parameters at 0 ( ammonia, nitrates & nitrites) PH at 8.2 as of last night and Saturday ... When my wife saw that the parameters were at the point where I have for so long said we needed to wait to get any life stock she went ahead and got life stock...on Saturday...she got a CUC of 5 turbo...

I will do a water change tomorrow and asking u guys if its safe to buy a clean up crew, my parameters are 0 for nitrates and nitrites-amonia at .25 and PH at 7.8.

Just got 2 new live rocks and I see the following things on them please help ID...I already got rid of 2 aptasia... Also saw some small ones that I hope r feather dusters but I Really don't have clue...

Water looks clear, will do a water change on wednesday and then check the ph, nitrites and nitrates. When should I start putting live stock in it? I'm thinking I should start with snails and crabs...any advice

Is acceptable to have in a 55 gal tank?. Right now I have 4 lg pieces of dead rock but did not think of weighing them before I started the cycle. I am gonna get live rock next but now I'm not sure how much to have in there where it doesn't compromise the tank...picture in the avi is actual pic...

I am working on a 55 gal. Saltwater tank. Looking to have both corals and fish. Don't know much about how to get there thats why I'm so thankful of threads like this one...and the members helping with answers so quickly. Currently I'm on day 2 of the cycle and just checking the salinity...

They told me all the pros of the sock, he explained hoe with the bio balls all though they are still great they tend to trap a lot of the bad things...
