    Curious about plants

No special care really. They'll do fine with using fish waste as fertilizer and low light is okay. But you won't really see them forming a huge Jungle anytime soon.

    Driftwood from the lake

Dry in the sun, boil, dry, boil. Repeat until you think the job is done.

    Curious about plants

There's plenty of plants you can get. Just to name some, you can get java moss, java fern, Anubias, hortwort, duckweed, etc.

    new dwarf gourami

Gotta love gouramis! Pearls have to be my favorite in planted tanks. They give it a "peaceful" look. I've owned a few dwarfs, but I have never seen one with colors like that. Great find!

    10 gallon dwarf cichlid tank

20 gallons is about the bare minimum for rams and apistos. This is because Of territorial issues and the fact that it is harder to keep water parameters in check in a smaller tank like that. You can, although get a few shell dwellers.

    Platy fish died devestated

If you want to keep the shabunkin, you need to get a large pond. But I would recommend rehoming it to avoid all the trouble. And you'd need to upgrade to a 120 gallon+ tank for the clown loaches. But they grow slowly so you'll be fine for the time being.

    Platy fish died devestated

That might not be your only problem. How big is your tank?

    36gal bow front stocking ???

Rummy nose tetras would look great against the black background of the Eco complete. But personally, I love cherry barbs. They are really active, and the males are bright red and really POP. They are also good fish for communities since they don't fin nip, and mine occasionally eat algae from my...

    Filters!

If you're willing to pay $75 for the 30 gallon, you can go on eBay and buy a sunsun canister filter with a 9watt UV for about that much. A lot of people use them, and prefer them over HOB filters.

    fish wont eat

If you just want your fish to eat, a lot of people say that adding garlic to the food not only prevents diseases, but causes the fish to be more attracted to it. I've personally never tried it, but it does make sense.

    Undergravel filter

I read somewhere that keeping live plants with Under Gravel filters is not good since the roots can grow down into it and mess it up somehow. If I was you, I would just remove the filter now, before things get too settled and get a HOB filter or a canister filter. Under gravel filters are known...

    Floating Plants

I wouldn't do it if I was you. I think the frogbit would take up lots of nutrients that will help the baby tears to grow faster. But that's just my 2 cents.

    Floating Plants

There's dwarf water lettuce, which has very bushy, feather-like roots. Amazon frogbit which has nice glossy leaves, and long (very very long),and stringy roots compared to the water lettuce. And lastly, salvina. Salvina is much smaller than the previous two, but grows at a much faster rate. It...

    Pleco for a 30g

The more common plecos for a 30 gallon tank are bristlenose plecos, pitbull plecos, ad clown plecos. But there are hundreds of species of plecos out there. I'm sure someone else will add to the list.
