I went to Home Depot today to get sand for my up and coming tank. I read here to get the play sand, so I bought two 50 lb bags. It didn't say what "kind" of sand it was silica, etc. What if it is silica? What is so bad about this stuff?

I have read about using live rock in wet/dry filters. Do you use live rubble as you would bioballs? I know you trickle the water over bioballs. Do you do the same over live rubble, or is there something different?
