Can anyone id this fish pleasez??

Hi Guys! Visiting with family and friends in south-east Florida, one of my friend's boys caught couple of fish in the small lake right by their house and put them in his sister's 25 gal tank. They are both about 1.5 inch long. The one on this pic is very active, swimming lots. The other one was...

    Father's Day'2013

Awww... So happy for you! There isn't one single thing on this earth that'd be more important than our family and the love we share. Life consists of MOMENTS (when we first notice that someone's presence makes our heart race, when a parent looks in the eyes of his/her newborn baby for the first...

    Help, my moor has ich.

Yes Quick Cure does work, I used it for velvet, but you have to take your inverts out and in my case the tanks had only been cycled for few weeks. It must have done something to the still delicate ecosystems and we went through mini cycle on 3 of my tanks! So of wc's, garlic... Other natural...

    new planted bowl

Great idea with dw! It'll keep your ph nice, and you can tie a piece of christmas moss to it, or few pieces to a vertical green structure, unless you can find a really tall plant. Another thing to consider maybe sticking few cuttings of your favorite ivy (English or any kind) It'll root quickly...

    Help, my moor has ich.

I hear ya:) oscars are beautiful fish, and those husbands are something else, aren't they:):):)? My Mom loves goldfish so much, but has never had fish. She will be moving in with me at some point and I'll get the decent size tank and scape it for her, cycle and let her select her own goldies...

New tank possibly for cherry red shrimp?

The prime concentration I use calls for 0.1ml per gallon. I got tuberculin syringe and this way know exactly how much to use. Prime is great! I'm glad you are using it

    Help, my moor has ich.

Great! Thank you soooooo much! If you ever find those proportions for the garlic infusion, would you please let me know? I feed everybody frozen peas all the couple of times per week. They all go crazy darting for it, and mean EVERYBODY! Bettas, mollies, platties, and shrimp. It's been that way...

    Help, my moor has ich.

Question for Stefemini and I'm sorry that's not really related to this thread but I haven't been able to find info elsewhere and noticed that you have some experience with it. I'm talking about feeding fish garlic! How do you prepare it before giving to your fish?

    Tiny tank

This is a kind of tank I'll be doing in next few months. Already growing plants and mosses for it. Will start with RCS and nano fish and once I get the shrimp care down to fine art, I'll jump into crystal shrimp. They are beautiful and fun to watch. Good luck with yours. Post some pics once...

    Help, my moor has ich.

Glad to see you are still watching your water. I had to deal with a minicycle which was also induced by treatment. Lots of water changes (2x day and at times more) watching parameters, and and dosing with Stability (which I believe helps reestablish bb colonies) and Prime to detoxify ammonia and...

Making sponge filter for small tanks/bowls?

That's great! Is there a way I could look up some detailed dyi instructions? You know, like for someone completely nontechnically inclined? Like for the 6yr old??????

    Hello!

Welcome to AA! Unfortunately I'm not likely to be of big help to you in your set up as have no experience with that type of fish at all. But it does sound like you've already done quite a bit of homework and getting some good filtration system going there which is a huge part of a successful...
