I got a 8 line wrasse and 2 damsels. How do i recharge my system?

How do i get pods in my tank? I know they come from the live rocks and from plants like the cheato. But say if all the pods died off how can i create more pods? Or do they just reproduce off bacteria on the rocks and plants?

Do they eat formula 2? My wrasse seems to not be eating it. All its eating now are little pods it finds in the tank.

i think i know what happened to my tank now. I think the sponges i used had dry soap on it. Whats the best way to redo my tank to get all the soap out?

most of the corals were shriveled up the day i found the fish dead. i also have an anemome as well. it was opened up but not as big as when the tank was healthy..

i did a water change after all the fish died becuase i still have coral in the tank and i wanted them to survive... As for the ammonia, it is probably due to overfeeding becuase my fish had a little ick and i wanted to feed it a little more so i can grow a better immune system.

I woudnt think its the ammonia or a disease tho because during the day time they were swimming normally and eating. Could it be possible that the sponges i put in the overflow box cut off the fishes oxygen or something like that?

I got my rocks from oceanproaquatics.com and had them for a good 3 months. I doubt theres other live creatures on it unless i put it in. I was thinking it may be a mantis cause in 1 week all my fish died with out a trace of thier body. But when i did the carbonated dip i couldnt find anything.

I think i may have a mantis shrimp in my live rocks. I did a salted carbonated water dip but nothing came out. I was thinking of trying either a freshwater or high salinity dip. What is the difference in the two in terms of perserving life and corrline algae?
