does indirect sunlight count? I mean i notice when i open my blinds around 12:00pm my fish "wakes up". I turn my tank light on at 3:00pm - 11:00pm thats 8hrs. Would the sunlight count as extra light, as far as time goes? I don't want to "bug" out the fish or add to any unwanted algae growth.

i did a full gravel change and a 30% water change... added some driftwood about two weeks ago.... well the amm is at 0 but the nitrites are at 2.0 and nitrates are 40+... did i start another cycle? should i wait it out or do a water change? this is making me sick! and my fish!! i was thinking...
