Will diamond tetras be nippy toward angelfish?

I wanted to eventually get a school of about nine or ten diamond tetras to keep with my angelfish, who is currently still a quarter-sized baby. I want to wait a bit before adding more fish, though. Will diamonds be suitable, or will they be nippy even in a group this size? I was also looking at...

Tank bottom/stand top not flat...How do I fix this?

Yep, a yardstick showed the bottom trim of the tank is bowed up at the ends. The stand looks fine, though I need to get the tank off to properly check that. Thanks. (No beer though, I cannot buy any. Would soda do? :( )

Tank bottom/stand top not flat...How do I fix this?

If the new tank does the same then I'll be convinced that I have the worst luck...Or that Visio is going down in quality. The store owner is so big on them, though. :( I thought styrafoam was a bad idea with rimmed tanks. Edit: Look at all the little baby crypts I salvaged from the brown mush...

Tank bottom/stand top not flat...How do I fix this?

I talked to the store owner today. He will try to get a replacement for me. It will be a few weeks longer before my awesome dirty crypty tank comes into being, but oh well. On the bright side, I ended up stopping at Petco on the way home(Not where I bought the tank from) and noticed they had...

Tank bottom/stand top not flat...How do I fix this?

Yeah. The problem is I may need to wait a few weeks to get someone with a car who has time to take me, and the place doesn't sell tanks on the shelf. They'll have to order another one, which will take a couple of weeks. This will take a very long time. And I got my hopes up that I'd have the...

Tank bottom/stand top not flat...How do I fix this?

Added up, the tank is a quarter inch off. I don't think that is safe.

Tank bottom/stand top not flat...How do I fix this?

I think it wouldn't be a big deal if one side were raised. But BOTH sides are raised, I think this is very dangerous and could result in a broken tank and damaged floor. :(

Tank bottom/stand top not flat...How do I fix this?

That's not gonna happen because I have no experience with woodworking. I don't even own a saw or drill. :(

Tank bottom/stand top not flat...How do I fix this?

I think it is the aquarium...I spent time checking the aquarium trim with the little level checker, and I think it is the bottom trim of the aquarium. It's bowed up at the edges slightly. Man, I have to take it back to the store. This is such a pain. :(

    Centerpiece/strange fish for livebearer tank

Ah, maybe it's because I have a short tank, but my ram seems to swim all over. I guess he'd stick to the lower part in a deeper tank, huh?

Tank bottom/stand top not flat...How do I fix this?

In the mean time, is it safe to let the tank sit unfilled on top of the stand like this?

Ever been attacked or hurt by your critters?

I've never kept an aquatic animal that could hurt me, but I used to have a female betta who would lunge at and try to bite my finger if I held it close enough above the surface. Her jaws weren't big enough to get a grip so she'd just bounce right off. Sometimes my harlequin rasboras do the same...

    Centerpiece/strange fish for livebearer tank

I have a Bolivian ram with my endlers and they get along well. He might eat a few of the fry, but they breed a lot. So I would suggest some kind of ram. :)

Tank bottom/stand top not flat...How do I fix this?

So against all odds I was able to get my dream 45 gallon tank a lot sooner than I thought! This is by far the largest aquarium I've ever had and I'm so excited to get started on it. I have a little liquid-filled level checker, and the stand is perfectly level. Unfortunately, the tank bottom or...

Seeking tips for future dirted tank.

I have plans to set up a 45 gallon tank sometime this year. I have a stand and will order the tank eventually when I have money, but not quite yet. My wallet doesn't agree with me on this one just yet. But to prepare for the biggest and hopefully best aquarium I have owned, I have a few concerns...

    45 gallon: No go? Thoughts?

I thought you said they aren't good, though. Would that work well with the plants I mentioned in the first comment? Edit: Ouch, it doesn't actually include bulbs...They are probably fifteen bucks each. It also says it's 48 inches long, so unless they have a shorter one I can't use that for the...

    45 gallon: No go? Thoughts?

It's going to be a loooooong time then. I get only 16 work hours a week lately. Hard to save up for anything. :( I've been looking at diy videos on how to make aquarium lights with rain gutter pieces and cfl bulbs. Maybe I can make one with like eight bulbs in it or something, lol. Or maybe I...

    45 gallon: No go? Thoughts?

I feel like giving up on upgrading. Everything is either too **** expensive or not doable. :(

    45 gallon: No go? Thoughts?

At over 100 dollars, I would call them terribly expensive...Can't afford. :( What the heck is that "cide" stuff? Isn't that some kind of poison, since it has "cide" in the name?

    45 gallon: No go? Thoughts?

Lately I have been wanting to upgrade my 20 gallon long to a bigger tank, and possibly be able to get one tall enough to add an angel fish. I was eyeing a nice Visio 45 gallon 25-inch-tall tank and found a decent price as well as a good-looking stand, but when I mentioned that I was excited to...

    Sexing Scarlet Badis

Thanks for the tips. :) Both of mine were indeed males, no doubt about it. They got along pretty well, but the smaller of the two just disappeared one day. I'm not sure whether he jumped out of the tank somehow and got lost under the dresser or if he just died suddenly and the cherry shrimp ate...

    Sexing Scarlet Badis

Here's a video of them swimming around each other. I don't know if there is aggression, but it looks like they are playing or something. Maybe the smaller one is just a very red female after all and they are courting? Or maybe they are gay for each other. I've seen male endlers try to mate with...

    Sexing Scarlet Badis

There are only three males left at the store, unless they've been bought already. The owner says he never sees those fish so he might not get more anytime soon. There is a listing selling females that goes up on ebay sometimes, though it is pricey ($30 including shipping for one fish). So if I...

    Sexing Scarlet Badis

20 gallong long with a bolivian ram, endlers, a few kuhli loaches and a few harlequin rasbora. It's well planted, but the ram might be too much for a little badis to deal with and it might hide all the time, so it would be hard to find and feed...
