I also just had to separate my occ and b&w clowns in my 125. I put the smaller b&w'a in first for several weeks, then the orange ones. They were fine for about a week, then the aggression started.

Will the durso fit in the overflow box? If it does, that would be the best/quietest way. The durso would not fit in my overflow box unfortunately on my 46g tank. I have had a ball valve on the drain of the 46 for 2 years, and haven't had a situation close to an overflow. I don't have the water...

Can you add a ball valve or gate valve to partially restrict the drain line so water will back up in the line so you won't have the falling water noise? Would take some work to fine tune to be sure the drain and return are equalized, so any overflowing possibility is eliminated.

I used the aqualifter pump with the jbj ato system, and it was to slow and time out. Since then I've been using a pico pump and it works great.

I've had the jbj for a couple years now an haven't Had any problems. The pump will time out if its been running Too long. Also, I've never had any problems with salt creep on the Floats.
