    I dont have any suggestions for you, but I must say i feel your pain. I have a golden apple snail and love that little guy even though he's munching on our plants (we have the bulbs from walmart)

    You dont have a cycled tank until the nitrites and ammonia are 0 and you show signs of nitrates

    a pair is fine for a 29g. they will uproot the plants, especially if they are breeding. ALso they love to dig, especially around spawning time

    well i tested the tap water and it came out .5ppm, retested the tank and it came our darker than the 10. ppm mark again. how do we reduce the level of phosphates, water changes? is this high phosphates bad for algae, bad for the plants, or both? i also retested for: kh is 6, ph is 7.0 so our...

    We tested our levels today and phosphates are 10! isnt this bad? Our GH is 12 and out KH is 6, so that means our co2 levels are 11.2 correct? this means were going to have to add co2? any help is greatly appreciated

    We are getting our new plants today, but i have another quick question. If it is potted, are we supposed to leave the cotton stuff there or remove it from the plant? also do we burry each individual stem or is it the whole plant together? is it a matter of preferance?

    well our plants are coming in the mail tomorrow, and we will have a bit of xmass moss, temple narrow leaf, micro sword and rotala indica. i ordered 3 of each. its a 15 gallon tall 2 wpg, we have a whisper 20 running. i was debating on how we should go about the co2 deal.
