xmass moss

If it is like java moss then the best idea is to tie it down with some thread, eventually the roots will grab hold.
 
Staples also work quite well to attach moss to wood and other "stapleable" materials and will eventually rust away once the moss has taken hold :)

is that safe for the fish and plants?
 
Be sure to tie it down nice and tight, otherwise it will start to spread and not attatch to what you want it to attatch to. I had that snafu in my tank and now I have some tall moss to take care of :)
