    Goldfish with multiple diseases?

Ok I'm really hoping you can help me. He is turning red now. Red speckles all over his tummy, wen and you can see the red under his scales! He is not swimming at all. He has pinholes in his tail and the discoloration on his tail has spread. Lots of white spots, but it's just the color...

    Goldfish with multiple diseases?

No. They do not move. I have prazipro on order but I do not know if it will take care of internal parasites. Nothing looks like an anchor worm, this is a 2 inch (about) goldie. So, very small. Is there anything you recommend?

    Curious

Prime is nice, but all the other water conditioners will work just fine if that's what you have. THey won't bind ammonia so you will need to be on top of your water changes until you cycle. Did you already get your fish?

    High Nitrite and Nitrate

I did a large WC when my nitrites were high and whether it jump started my cycle again or just good timing, I don't know. I'd do one and redose ammonia.

What Did You do With Your Tank Today?

My 55 gallon is devoid of all fish. Both the ranchus are in quarantine tubs so I can treat them better. One just came in the mail last week, but my original dude is out now too and I'm not sure what he's got as he's showing multiple symptoms and I'm fairly new to goldfish. Waiting to get my...

    Bloated betta, maybe dropsy?

Redo your nitrate test to double check that zero. Honestly I would fast him for several days (3ish) then give him frozen daphnia. Since bettas are carnivores it's better to give them daphnia as a laxative. Daphnia are also good for them. How much do you feed your betta per day? Do you ever...

Fishless cycle with fish food when to stop?

You put a small amount of food in the tank until you are ready to add your shrimp/fish. Right before you add your shrimp/fish you will want to do a large water change on your tank to reduce the nitrates. Once your shrimp/fish are in the tank, you do not add fish food except to feed the animals.

    Goldfish with multiple diseases?

I've had this goldfish for less than a month. Tank is 55 gallons, fully cycled with fluval 406 canister filter and an aquaclear 30 for water aeration. Tank parameters are .25/0/10-20 Ammonia has never read less than .25, ever. Maintenance is weekly 50% WC with several miniscule water...

How long could I keep 3 fancy goldfish in a 30 gallon before needing to upgrade?

I am wanting to do goldfish, and I have a 30 gallon ready to go. I am wanting 3 fancy goldfish, just going to get cheap little derps from the local place. How fast will they outgrow a 30? My father has a 55 gallon, but I'd need to drive down to get it, reseal it, and get a new stand. He...

How can I hide equipment on a tank?

I'm looking to do a 120 gallon in between the livingroom and dining room area, so all four sides would be exposed for viewing. I enjoy the minimalist set ups for goldfish like this and this but because the tank will not be against a wall, and you will be able to view it from all four sides, I...

    Goldfish with guppies?

He will be fine until he outgrows the tank, also he might eat your guppies.

Glass Surfing: When should I worry?

I have a female dumbo betta in a 5.5 gallon tank. Heated 79, moderately planted, currently in fish-in cycles week 4. She is a super spunky fish, which is what I was attracted to in the store, however she NEVER. STOPS. GLASS SURFING! It's driving me bonkers! None of my previous fish did this...

Nitrates and nitrites are high! Help ASAP

Well here is the gist. your fish were being poisioned by several toxins. Now they are not or at least are very minimally. You are doing your best. Just because they are in a good environment now doesnt mean they will magically get better immediatly. Recovering takes time, and sometimes if...

Nitrates and nitrites are high! Help ASAP

Nitrites will be taken care of when your bacterial colony gets big enough. NitrAtes are removed during water changes and a little by plants. You want to aim for under 20ppm on Nitrates but rarely will you have zero. Because you tank isnt cycled yet (not enough bacteria) you will need to do...

Nitrates and nitrites are high! Help ASAP

Good luck with your fish! Hope everythig turns about. Also just a tip -never change your filter pad. Thats where all your good bacteria are, if it gets gunky just swish it in the water you take out during water changes to clean it.

Nitrates and nitrites are high! Help ASAP

I would honestly do a 50% water change. Then dose with prime or ammolock. Do you have a test kit?

Nitrates and nitrites are high! Help ASAP

his death would have spiked the Ammonia, but it shoukd have cleared by now and Nitrits should still not be present. Nitrates are only delt with by water changes so for now I think thats your best bet untill your filter regrows its bacteria
