LED 22 white/2 blue, .11 watts per led, 2.42 total watts, 460 lux, 165 total lumens. The light that comes with the generic 10g starter bio wheel marineland tank. Black sand in the tank. Thanks.
It's an aquaclear 30 and there are no bubblers . Just a power head . I think it just got gunked up I cleaned everything out and it's working fine. I had a bunch of cheap filters that kept stopping which is why I bought this one. My tank hood doesn't allow room for another filter or I'd add...
I think my tank finally cycled but now I have some odor. I added a piece of ceramic wood which I rinsed in old tank water and let it set for awhile before adding to tank. I noticed the smell the next morning. Been doing 50 % wc every 2 days. Filter was clogged but running when u came home...
I may mess around with decor at some point but I got home from work and my tank smelled really bad and the filter wasn't working for some reason. I do a minimum of 50% wc every 2 days. Just did a 70% one ill monitor the filter. What causes them to stop or clog I guess. It use to happen when...
I put a piece of dark black window tinting stuff on there it may or may not come off easily I do agree there is too much black I think maybe switching to white or pool filter sand might help some. Or some plants
I think I do to you can see in the photo all 5 tetras hang out together and the 4 Cory cats all group up. The cories use to hide behind the stones and never come out

New
Is the new decor more ideal for Cory and tetras? It's all fake stuff. I keep reading that Cory prefer planted tank and once I can get things stable I may attempt some plants. Any advice on keeping my fish thriving environmentally speaking
Ammonia has leveled off at the light green tint use to struggle with higher levels there. Nitrite levels have come down as well. And presence of nitrate obviously showed up at some point where as early tests had none. Tap tests 0 ammonia pretty sure the other 2 numbers wouldn't show up in tap...
Yea my tree stump should be here next week I have removed half the stones already but want the Cory's to have some hiding spots and not just an open tank. I have no plants besides some fake ones. I've heard plants can be frustrating and I'm already got my hands full with the cycling. But if...
Not sure about overfeeding the food is gone after a couple mins. I have to make the cories come out since the tetras pluck the food off the bottom. I did some algae wafers today but took them out after awhile as suggested
I am on the upper limits of stock for my tank size. I think since I'm slightly over filtered and have a mix of bottom dwellers with mid tank twellers and my frequency of wc it could be ok. The plan is to upgrade to a 40g end of this year. So hopefully the Agassiz Cory don't outgrow the 10g by...
I was starting to think maybe the ceramic cichlid stones I have are the problem. Stuff gets stuck in them when I turn them upside down a lot of gunk falls out. I have a giant fake tree stump showing up to replace them. I dose with prime and change 40-50% wc a day. I've just done everything...
My tank size is 10g with an aquaclear 30 filter. I have 5 tetras (2 black phantom, 2 black skirts, 1 glo) 4 Corys (2 Agassiz and 2 panda). 2 of the Cory's are new.
I did a fish in cycle have been following advice from my original thread. Tank has been up 3 months or so. Haven't lost any fish, but I can't seem to get the readings everyone talks about when referring to a cycled tank.
Attached one pic of tubes and another picture that if you haven't seen...
I've been reading and there are a lot of mixed reviews on what media to use inside the filter. I have a 10 gallon tank using an aquaclear 30. I just use a giant sponge in the filter I recently added the white things that came with the filter. Just curious what most people are using...
I have 5 tetras and 2 Cory's wanting to add 2 more Cory's but the tetras seem to be eating their foot much more quickly than they use to. I'm using new life spectrum sinking pellets but the tetras see eating them off the sand bed. What would be a good food to add for the Cory's.
Yea I've been doing research to find one that will stand out on black sand I really don't want to switch out my sand again. Good to know they are natural but I haven't looked at prices I did guess they would be costly.
