Surprisingly the ngara and bi color do some of the chasing in the tank

I currently have as listed 1 Venustus 2 red fin borleyi 1 ngara flametail 1 red shoulder 1 bi color 500 1 blue ahli 1 tangerine tiger 3 synodontis catfish Plan on getting more synodontis catfish in the near future. All the cichlids are males, I was looking for opinions on future stock to add.

Nope I don't think so, only suggestion I would have is a sand instead of gravel, but in the end it's your tank. I think it looks great the way it is!

Was sold as a sulfer head peacock, just he's body shape seems a little off.

i haven't had a problem with my these two mbuna so far, but i do know allot of people wouldn't recommend mixing them do to the different aggression levels, dietary needs, and rock work. but they been doing really good together, I'm letting algae grow on the rocks so the mbuna can graze on it...

I knows he's not the dominant male, nor sub dominant male. But he's not last on the totem pole. Oh well. I still enjoy he's dark blue, but it's a lovely change when he does lighten up some times.

You may be right, I did some more looking and here's a picture I found of a hara that looks just like him when he turns light blue.

It was sold as a madoka mbuna. Most the time it stays a dark blue, with black bars. But there are times when the dark blue turns super light and the black bars are really popping.

I'm just curious of how many people like algae in cichlids tank. I'm currently in the process of turning my brown diatoms into the good old green algae we all know. However it does make your tank cloudy with all the diatoms floating around.

Your not joking, my three love to dig under the foundation of the rocks just to make new caves.

Yeah I know, weekly water changes is something I enjoy to do oddly. Like I said the jewel was the odd ball but my wife wanted him, and well the LFS gave it to her for free when I was picking up a couple fish from them a month and a half ago.

But what do you think about the stocking?

It's not that I don't know them, just I don't know them by heart.

I have 3 yellow labs, 3 ob zebras 1 hongi 1 johanni getting 2 more when they are shipped in 1 kenyi 3 albinos And a jewel. The odd ball in the group But that's about what I'm going to keep. Worked a deal with the LFS to take any of them that become to aggressive, to the point it starts killing.

Yup it is, I'm keeping mbuna, so all the rock work Is good to give them places to escape from aggression.

I live in Oklahoma and I always find it for a dollar a pound.

My Snow White is the worst in my tank as well. He likes to get a mouthful of sand , swim to the top of tank and spit at the glass. He's got sand in my power head and has made it stop running twice. Me and my wife thought of finding memo the 1st time he did it

I ended up have the my LFS Order two more johanni's, one male, and one female kenyi. To help with aggression later down the lane. That suggestion is a beautiful fish too. Only bad thing about the hobby is that you have to limit yourself with all the beauty's out there.
