LFS told me to do this with about 20. As I read more and more about it, it's not recommended. I don't care to hear about how harmful it is. Just wondering the proper steps or what I should do after I've already started

After moving out of state and giving away my whole community, this is my new setup. 30 gal, fresh black sand with a penguin 200. It's going to be a cichlid tank!

I have 3 corydoras and a albino cory. One of them has a film on its eye, the rest of the fish are fine. I keep up on pwcs and seem to have a pretty healthy tank. Any info would help!
I recently got a 30 gal tank and upgraded and now I have a 10 gal with lights, filter and heater just sitting around. As you all know you can't really sell them for much...
Anybody got any unique ideas. Is it to small for like a single cichlid? How about frogs or turtles??
I'm gonna add about a school of 5 or 6 soon and really want something unique and hardy... I have a freshwater reg 30 gal. I already have 3 Cory cats, a bristle nose, a angel fish. And 3 small random fish.
Any suggestions and/or pictures would be great.

I've been doing this about 6 months now. I started with a 10 gal and now I have a almost cycled 30 gal. I'll be honest. I've never tested a drop of water. I've had a few fish die but only one at a time and I only one of them actually looked sick before they died.
I do pwc often especially...
