You should be fine using a tiny bit of goo gone or mineral spirits. Just make sure you wash the bottle off before putting in the tank.

Just buy a new tube. They are only a few bucks.. And if ur not gonna use that one take it back and exchange it. Just tell them u bought the wrong one and wanted to exchange it.

The problem is you can't, or shouldn't use a regular garden hose to fill your tanks. They are made with antibacterial properties that aren't good for your beneficial bacteria that is in your tank. Food grade hose is expensive, fittings ad up so you really are better off buying a water changing...

Yup in my experience higher water temps and daily water changes will rid that ich better than any meds. I wouldn't transfer the fish to another tank.. All that does is give you 2 tanks you have to worry about and if there are other fish in the tank chances are they are infected as well. Also...

Weird..when you say treating with water conditioner do you mean doing a pwc then treating? If not make sure you are not simply dosing the tank with water conditioner as this may deplete the oxygen in you tank which will not help your fish make it through whatever it is that is wrong with them...

If you really want to breed the guppies make it a species only tank, make sure you have plenty of live plants in there to help the fry hide. Do some research and take your time.
