It seems like the Bristle Nose eats more algae than the Clown in my tank. I don't have any swords in my tank right now but when I did they didn't bother them. I've always been a pleco fan and I really like these two, they don't hide and they're very active in my tank.

Thanks for all the responses. I have been feeding more frozen brine shrimp and blood worms and it seems to have helped the situation. I think that my angels were craving more protein. I haven't lost any more raspboras since.

I have a couple larger Angels(about 4" to 5") in a 55 gallon. I have Harlequin Raspboras in with them but the Angels have eaten some of them, taking them from 20 down to 12. I didn't think they would eat them but I was wrong. I would really like a group of schooling fish in the tank but don't...
The Mix Max and the Sera Flore seem pretty similar. The Sera Flore seemed to have better reviews and more solid construction. I'm really liking the way it works. I guess the real test will be how my plants do compared to the old diffuser. :)

So I got the Sera Flore CO2 Active Reactor 500 installed tonight. I'm running it with a Fluval 306. I basically replaced the ribbed flex hose with clear tubing I purchased at Ace Hardware. I'm using 5/8" ID tube that has an OD of 7/8". I am using hose clamps on the reactor because the nuts won't...
Not sure what the diameters are as I haven't received it yet. Its supposed to be delivered today. I will post the dimensions as soon as I get it.

I decided to go the in-line route. After doing the research it seems to be the best. I ordered a Sera Flore CO2 Active Reactor 500. It had many positive reviews and it didn't cost an arm and a leg.
Hi all. I'm looking to convert from a diffuser to a reactor. I am using a pressurized system in a heavily planted 55 gal tank. I am also using a Fluval canister filter so I can use an inline reactor although I would prefer using one that has its own pump. I am also looking to spend around $75 or...
I just moved a tank myself. Go to Lowes or Home Depot and get enough Food Safe 5 gallon buckets with lids to transport most of your water. You can put your fish in one of them, I used a battery operated air pump with an airstone to keep them happy during the drive. Use plastic bags for your...
I have 2 Cherry Barbs with my 3 tigers in a 55 gal and they do fine together. I also have a Dwarf Gourami and a Blue Gourami, they all do really well together. Of course they have plenty of room in the 55. They pretty much stay with their own kind.
So I added some ph 7.0 additive to my 55 gallon tank last night and this morning my water is really cloudy and the fish are sluggish. It's a community tank. I am going to do a water change after work. Has anyone had this happen to them?
