    40 Gallon Long Stocking Choices

Going to be gone for 3 nights

Fish survive out in the wild with little to no food for weeks at a time, they'll be fine. Especially since most people overfeed to begin with, they won't be emaciated before you leave. As suggested above, a partial water change is probably a good idea.

    Freshwater Barracuda Questions

As bettaowner said, you need a much larger and longer tank than a 30g tall. And once you got the larger tank, smaller tetras would probably be a bad idea.

    Life Is a Life

If you don't mind my asking, why do you have them then? People raise livestock for food or money, while pets are for personal enjoyment. Unless you're breeding fish for profit, I'm not sure how they could be more like livestock to you.

Ram trio- is it safe and will they breed?

I wasn't suggesting that for you. I'd like to have a pair of rams, but have no interest in breeding them, so I was wondering if a same-sex pair would get along?

Ram trio- is it safe and will they breed?

What about same-sex pairs? Would 2 males or 2 females get along?

I'd keep it a South American themed tank and go with the GBRs or add a small school of Otos.

Pros or cons of painting a back round?

Is that really so hard to do? And you can get a pack of 50 sheets from Walmart for $2. So don't tell me that it is easier or cheaper to paint it. I've never had issues with the paper fading or getting wet. And if it did, I'd spend 1 minute replacing the sheet with another one. So whatever...

Pros or cons of painting a back round?

To avoid having to scrape off the paint if you decide you want to change it, I just attach black construction paper to the back of the tank. Looks just as good as the paint, and if I ever decided that I didn't want it any more, all I have to do is peel off the tape holding it up.

20 gal tank Dwarf Gourami Tank mates

The eel will get too big for your tank and the pandas should be kept in small groups.

20 gal tank Dwarf Gourami Tank mates

Its also not appropriate for your tank. The panda garr would be better off with at least 3-4 of them. If you want to stress out and kill your fish, go for the eel then. If you want to be a responsible fish-keeper, then listen to what the people on this site suggest.

    Suggestions on my hardscape, layout?

There's not much room left on the bottom, but I'd try to make one more little cave formation to give the female another spot to hide out from the male GBR sometimes. The tank looks very nice though, good job.
