After abotu a month in the quarantine tank, they all looked fine and there were no spots or dusty marks remaining. I had been treating them with copper. Put them back into the main tank...

We bought a couple of clown fish last week and added them to the tank. They have been swimming around very happy for over a week now. I have noticed that they now stay in one corner together and that one of them looks to be struggling to swim. Most of the time he is vertical, head pointing...

    Protein Skimmers

I would say that the source of the noise is the pump as it is a loud vibration. I can her the gurgling of the bubbles, but that isnt too loud.

Sorry, I meant the output valve/power head, not the actual cannister itself. That sits under the tank in a cupboard. In your pic of the half full tank, showing the flow, how much water did you then fill the tank up with? Does the water level cover the power head? Another question... :D I...

Hi, I am not sure if you get these in the USA, so I am hoping you know what I am talking about. It is my extenal filter/pump. I have a question about the outlet valve (power head). Should this be above or below water level? The manual says to have it above water level whilst starting the...

Hello to all... Newbie from the UK here...

Many thanks for the reply. The tank is almost full now, so, should be able to turn the heater on later today. If the water can be 'cycled' with live rock, what are all the threads about a dead prawn (shimp) saying? I have read these, and from what they have said, the live rock may die during...
