Well seeing as I have 8 almost 9 tanks in my home and have been keeping fish almost 20 years I think I know what I'm doing. This tank is 3 years old and I have lost 1 fish from it and they are very happy and doing really great. It's ok if if doesn't work for you but that doesn't mean it doesn't...

It doesn't look overstocked in the least to me so don't worry about it. As for the goldfish, I have a whole lot of tanks in my home and one is a 55 gallon with goldfish and a large variety of assorted tropical fish and haven't lost a fish in that tank for over a year. I love the look of it...
