My question is my Chocolate chip star was zooming around the tank for the first 48 hours and now he has been in the same spot for...

29 to 55 upgrade and journal

So it has been a year since I setup my 29g FOWLR tank. I have been into fish fresh and saltwater for 4 years now. Freshwater wasn't challenging enough so I moved into saltwater world. Oh my. Like everyone, I had hard lessons to learn. I also breed mystery snails, Apple, ivory, blue, purple and...

    Is live rock salvageable?

Gotcha. I'm not wanting to use chemicals if I don't have to. I can't pass up 15#'s of rock for $20.00 and just have never got someone else's "used" rock but don't want any nasty crap Sent from my iPad using Aquarium Advice

    Is live rock salvageable?

My lfs just messaged me that he just had someone shut down their sw tank. They said that they couldn't afford it anymore and he did ask if there were any problems and of course they said no. So he took their tank, a oc clown (who seems to fine, it only has been 3 days), sand and rock. He...

    Goldie the fair fish

. Oh geez where to being. I have them in both my 10g and 55g. They love oranges and cucumbers. If you want them to breed put them in a 10g or smaller, keep the temp at 74 or lower, dark, and let the tank get dirty...mine seem to like it that way. Keep the water line down an inch or 2, so they...

    Goldie the fair fish

Nope got them with some plants I got of course. But I breed mystery snails and for some reason that goldfish doesn't eat those. I have seen him, maybe 3 times, suck up a baby mystery chew on it and spit it out a few times over and over but he leaves then alone. I have about 20 pea size...

    Goldie the fair fish

Thanks! I have an aqua-tech 30-60 and Penguin Bio-wheel 200 on it. My mystery snails do an awesome job on gravel clean up. That goldfish even cleans up the gravel. Now if I can get it to leave my wisteria plants alone we all would be happy Sent from my iPad using Aquarium Advice

Starting new (for the third time)

Hello. I have a goldfish, pleco and 2 very naughty algae eaters. The goldfish came from our local fair and has almost tripled in size over the last 6 weeks. He had taken over my nasty snail problem but has left by mystery snails alone. Twice a week they get a cucumber and it's gone within 12...
