Are these planaria, or something else? Shrimp tank with photos

They will eat baby shrimp and freshly molted shrimp. Those are a smaller type, but if there are too many in your tank you are definitely at risk of losing babies.

    Mebbid's 3g Pico build

Have you heard of Candycane Pygmy gobies? They are super tiny. They only reach an inch in length. One of those little guys would be perfect for this tank! Look them up! They're super cool!

    Substrate for CRS tank

I definitely will. The supplier is waiting on the extra fine black Controsoil to come in so as soon as they get it in I will be able to order it. I'm getting very excited about this new tank and I'm very anxious to get everything shipped.

    Substrate for CRS tank

I have decided on Controsoil. I haven't ordered it yet, but the reviews looked good and the price is decent.

First attempt at a decent shrimp tank.

Yes. I've had some of them for a month and a half and I got some more about two weeks ago. I wanted to start with a decent population from a few different sources. I have S,S+,SS, and SSS grades. I also have a few Snow White caridina.

Your tanks look awesome! Congratulations on the babies!! I just started my first Crystal Red tank. My shrimp have been growing so quickly and I'm so excited to have babies! When I see my first berried female I won't be able to contain my excitement haha! I love this hobby.

    Where to get shrimp?

ShrimpUSA.com -- Mr. Bauer. He got me started on almost all my shrimp and his prices are pretty fair compared to other places. Check out Aquabid as well. There are a lot of great sellers on there and usually are very helpful. You can look at the reviews of each seller as well. There are plenty...

    Pink bolt/Pale Pink Caridina

Does anyone know where I could get pink bolt or pale pink Caridina? I've seen some "golden" Caridina with the pale pink coloration and I've also seen "red bolt" with the pink body as well as shrimp just labeled "pink bolt" I just don't know where I can find them for purchase.

    Substrate for CRS tank

I really like the look of it. It's dark and shows off plant and shrimp color well and its not too big and not too small.

    Substrate for CRS tank

Gotcha! CRS require a more strict set of parameters so I'm trying to find an active substrate that will buffer the water, but not break down and not leech a lot of ammonia.
