I have the Aqua C Remora with the Preskimmer box. The skimmer works great, I am always getting a dark skimmate. The only complaint that I have is that the pre box is a little tricky to get adjusted, But you should be able to get it online for under your $200.

I just hooked up a UV sterilizer (on a sw tank) and my water has been crystal clear. As far as a brand, I have heard nothing but wonderful comments about the turbo twists.

You can do it, its just a lot of checking your chemicals. I know the smaller that tank the hard it is, but if you are dilligent I am sure that you will be able to do it. Good Luck Let us know how it turns out 8O

I have the AquaC Remora with the preskimmer box. It works like a charm. I haven't had any trouble with it at all. You might also want to consider adding a biowheel. My Emperor 400 keeps my water crystal clear. i HTH. 8O
