Waste changes with fry and pregnant fish

So it seems the last time I did a water change two of my pregnant fish had their fry. There are now about 15 or so fry and the fish are still pregnant looking. I am wondering if I should hold off on a large cleaning for a bit? Any advice as to what I should do? I dont want to stress the pregnant...

I have Fry in my tank.

Ah good to know, I guess I will need to explore separation and giving some away. It is a 29g tank and I have 12 adult 1" fish already in there. Now the 9 or more babies and I am nearing my limit. If they have another few rounds of births I will be in a world of trouble. Sent from my SGH-T999...

I have Fry in my tank.

How many on average do the fish deliver during one pregnancy? All of them are the same size except the one which is several times larger, I can recall seeing him for about two weeks now. From the others I've now seen they seem to be from both mothers. Sent from my SGH-T999 using Aquarium...

I have Fry in my tank.

My count is up to 9, there are a ton of hiding places in the tank, the 3D background has a bunch as well as under a few ornaments so they will do fine against the other fish. I have been grinding extra food for them and dropping on opposite side of the tank where I feed the adult fish. I counted...

I have Fry in my tank.

So I recently posted here some picture of a couple of Peggy fish I thought I had, well I see some babies in my tank. So far it seems as if the fish are having the fry one every couple days? Does thag sound right? Or many I just dont see them. The parents are keeping the curious other fish away...

    Colbalt Blue Lobster

I moved him to his own tank, with a tree to hide in and some roots and grass to play around. He seems much happier now. Dug a spot in the rocks as well. It is a 10 gallon tank but he has it to himself so I think he is good to go. Sent from my SGH-T999 using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Colbalt Blue Lobster

I have all holes covered so he cannot escape, I guess my concern is why he is escaping.

    Colbalt Blue Lobster

Here is the top opening he escaped from, I have it covered now. Also a full tank view, and the tree he calls home. Water still seems fine and he walks around tank every few days. Looks like he burrowed the rocks behind the tree down to the tank bottom. Not really sure what the issue is. Sent...

    Pregnant fish?

Also I should note, I am clueless and know looking into what I should do. It appears 2 fish are prego, so far I have seen 2 types of info: 1st, leave the fry in the main tank with the parents and other fish as long as there are hiding places they will be fine, 2nd separate the mother and allow...

    Colbalt Blue Lobster

He is in a 29 gallon tank, water quality is fine. I check it often with my liquid API kit, all the fish seem fine as well, I think he is just an explorer. I have his favorite hiding spot back where he likes it and he seems fine now. I have also made sure to close all opening in the top of the...

    Pregnant fish?

How do I tell if I have a pregnant fish? The picture below is one of 2 gold doubloon I have in my tank. When I got them they were the same size and shape. Now this one has an enlarged underside. Looks pregnant to me. Thoughts? As a side note one of my 3 identical looking pred tail platy looks...

    Nitrates too high??

Thanks for the input, I did not test the water before the water change ( my mistake there) one of the dead glo fish is M.I.A. that may be causing an issue. I just purchased a gravel cleaner and plan on tackling that today ( I've been told to only vacuum part of the gravel each time) I will also...

    Nitrates too high??

I have an API liquid test kit, I use prime, but I also have well water so barely anything in it to begin with. I am at a loss as to the cause. I am very careful when I work on or in the tank Sent from my SGH-T999 using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Nitrates too high??

Other parameters seem fine, I have a platy and gold doubloon that look pregnant. All the other fish are active and eat well. The glo fish used to stay in a group, but towards the end they all stayed separate from one another and the other fish. The remaining glo fish looks like it is...

    Nitrates too high??

I have lost 2 glo fish in the past few days, a third is barely hanging on, it is being pushed around by current in the tank but will not swim. I did a 50% water change 3 days ago. I checked the nitrates today and they are above 80ppm. Is this affecting the fish? My bristlenose also died a day...

    Colbalt Blue Lobster

I got this guy a couple of months ago, last night he decided to play escape artist. He climbed out of the tank. Then climbed or fell 4 feet to the ground and I found him in the middle of my hallway floor about 30 feet from his tank. Sent from my SGH-T999 using Aquarium Advice mobile app
