I came home over the weekend to find my shrimp had molted again. This is the 2nd time since I've had it that it has done this. The first time was only 3 weeks ago. Is this normal to have the shrimp molt every 3 weeks? Does it really grow that fast or is my water quality to blame?

has anyone used industrial sand for a substrate in lieu of any other type of sand? I know it's a silica based sand, however, is there any other contaminant in the mix I should be worried about? Thanks
