I got it from this guy, he said they were peacock cichlids. I looked them up on google, but seem different. The price was cheap, so Im happy with them. Just wanna find out for sure.

Pushed all the sand to the middle, my fish seem to like it.

Im trying this idea I had. Half planted and half bare. I really enjoy this setup because most of the fish like to school. If they get scared, they all swim to the planted side, and when they feel comfortable, they swim to the bare side. Let me know what you think.

Got a free bag of sand from a neighbor. Would it kill a freshwater tank? It says its for salt water. 100% calcuim carbonate, increased PH buffering. Im not trying to make a brackish tank, just to raise the gravel layer.

They're doing great so far. No aggression towards each other, or no one bullying them either. Also holding my friends spotted green puffer. Added some salt to accomodate him. This puffer eats like a pig, sometimes he looks like a neon golf ball with dots.

A 60 gallon, going to add some more gravel only to one side and keep one side bare (so fish can find worms abd shrimp better), then adding some low light plants to the gravel side.
