Both overflow hoses are submerged about 1 inch into water of sump.

What exactly do you mean, the hose from the return pump or the black hose that connects at the overflow that pumps water back into the tank?

I tried putting live rock in the sump to help break up bubbles . but it didn't help? Anyone have suggestions?

That is the exact eggs I was talking about in my post , and I could have sworn I saw a nassarius(sp) snail forming them.

Digital camera isn't working right now, anyone else have any thoughts, I figured it was probably eggs and was wondering if someone else had this happen.

I have a snail (nassarius sp) that is making these white spiral circles on the glass, does anyone know what this is? It's like 3 inches long and a connected patch of spiral circles. I saw it creating these on the glass this morning, the snail had made two of them and was working on a third.

I really dont have much room, I have a return pump in on area, an asm 3 skimmer with pump in the other . Will the cheato clog up the pump for the skimmer, or would putting a filter bag over it prevent this?

I dont have any room in my sump for a refugium section and was wondering if one can be rigged up out of a plastic bucket or tub? My sump is glass and I dont want to try and drill it. Can a powerhead or pump be put into sump filling water up into this bucket or container and then another one...

What would you reccomend for a lighting cycle? I am running it with the actinic (t'5 s) on for 10 hours and the metal halides on for about 8.

Maybe adjust it so its a drier skim, sounds like you have it set where to much water is entering the collection cup.

I would do a water change first before adding fish to see if you can bring the nitrates down some.
