Is there a specific way to trim an amazon sword plant or no? I have some decaying leafs but I don't want to break it off in fear of killing the plant ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1418170693.611177.jpg here is the plant

Cut the stem off as close to the base as you can. It's good to remove decaying leaves because the plant wastes energy on it.

Thank you. Also algae eaters are fine but no plecostomus correct?

There have indeed been reports of pleco's/ancistrus' eating holes in amazon leafs as the rasp for algae :) I myself have siamese algae eaters and otocinclus' which are harmless
