Hi everyone,
I was wondering what your opinions are regarding glass and non glass heaters?
does one work better than the other? are there any pros or cons to either?

im in the market for a new one for my 29g tank. the one i currently have in there is rated for a 55g tank and is only like 4 months old, but only raises the temp in my tank to about 68-70 degrees... when it is set to the highest temp possible.

I use aqueon pro heaters in all my tanks. Not glass so you don't have to worry about shattering them. Have worked great for me so far.

Glass usually are just better at releasing heat I guess vs. plastic........and also glass are used much more commonly

and as said above, non-glass usually can't shatter/break........but you can purchase shatter-proof glass heaters like aqueon or eheim/ebo-jager;)

ebo-jager seem to be the best in terms of least break-downs/failures;)

aqueon is okay, many break-downs but at least there is a lifetime warranty
