Are Air Pumps Necessary?

Hello, I was just wondering if bubble strips and air pumps are necessary and what their benefits are? I heard it gives extra oxygen for fish but is it something I can do without? I have about 6 air pumps for all my tanks, but I actually prefer how it looks without the extra bubbles, however if its going to benefit the fish I will keep them in. Also, electricity saving is a factor in me trying to rid them all. What are the factors in determining if you need bubble strips and air pumps running? Thanks

Aslong as something else is breaking up the waters surface u dont need them

You do not need them unless you like bubbles.
