Betta fish Diagnosis

How old is he?

He is just under 2 inches, so I would assume about 8 months? I have had him for 6 months.

Ahh, yeah he's quite young probably...

I think the crown tail I have in my desktop 10 gal gets more annoyed with the harlequins he resides with than my Halfmoon EVER will with anyone else...

Do you think they stress him out too much? I get worried about bettas with tankmates because it's not natural for them to be housed with schooling fish (in the wild, anyway) and I wonder if the stress shortens their lifespans.

He just puffs up a bit. No flaring, no chasing. More like a dad telling his kids "SHUT UP!!"
And looking at my half moon, I think he is just developing stronger swimming muscles, hence the protrusion.
Current is nearly nonexistent but he goes all of the tank, and races from the top to the bottom, and vice versa.
He is getting used to having a llllllll that room!

That is so awesome! =] I really love bettas and I wish I could have one...

Tank mates not compatible?

Probably. =] But also I can't have my own tank right now (my fish reside in my boyfriend's) because I don't have a permanent address.
