I have had this fish for almost 4 weeks. Yesterday he developed what looks like a sore or veins near his anal area. It looks like something took a bite out of him but he is only with other tertas and a small Cory cat. Any idea what is wrong with him? The others look fine.

Thanks.

I think so. Looks like a dark red vein or something. Could be a worm. This doesn't sound good.

Maybe. I don't see the red tonight but it looks like a big sore in the anal area. I'm going tommy lfs tonight to pick up some worm meds.

Thanks for the help mumma. The lfs did not have anything to treat camellanus. I'm going to try to find it online today. I hope they live. They are a beautiful group of tetras. I can only assume if it is camellanus then the rest of them are also infected.

I found angels plus has a new dewormer for camellanus. I ordered some today.

Thanks for the help.

He didn't make it. Treatment is on order and I will deworm the rest when it arrives. They show no signs of illness that I can tell.
