Had 4 chromis and 3 completely disappeared until i seen a piece of white fresh in the craws of one of my crab.

Can they? Sure. But doubtful. Remember you have those crabs as a clean up crew. They are doing their job by cleaning up the corpse. Chromis are known for killing off each other as they school. They are not peaceful when it comes to the heirarchy.

I'd have to agree with sniper. Emeralds will eat fish that are dead or on their last leg maybe, but not a healthy fish. I started with 5 chromis and now have 3 left, one jumped and one just disappeared one day never to be seen again.

Yeah probley right, my chromis have bin aggressive at times, i thought maybe when i turn the lights off the crabs sneek up on em. Another question is when fish die and i find it should i take it out the tank or leave it for the crabs to eat em, or will this cause amonia?
