I have a 125g gallon reef with some fish. I have had a C-350 forever and was wondering what media I should put in it to improve my setup. I have about 175 lbs of LR and believe that is enough for biological filtration. I have heard of modifying a canister into a phospate reactor. How can I do this? What media would be beneficial? I have filter floss, sponges, ceramic media, bioballs, carbon and chunks of LR in it now. I also have an Emperor 400. Is this too much biological filtration? Believe it or not I clean the canister every two weeks and my Nitrates stay at about 5-10ppms.

You can simply use a media for phosphate such at Phosban (the only one I have used) and put it in a mesh bag, in your filter.
Do you have excess phosphates in your water? If you do there are much more easier ways to control it.
As for other media, I like Purigen (you can ditch the carbon for this) which is rechargeable.
